The LD Race Team is warming up for the season with Mike Weekes grabbing a brave 2nd in the Regional A race at Dunsfold in the Surrey League 2/3s race and Gavin Ryan patiently sitting in the bunch 10 times up Staple Hill before slipping into the top five for the last hairpin and then pouncing from 200 metres out for 3rd in the Surrey League 2/3s at Staple Hill on 1st April (hosted by London Dynamo).  Not bad for the newly wed Saffa!

Our turbo-charged, race hungry junior Tobias Dahlhaus is rarely out of the races or the results and so it proved with him grabbing 9th in the National Junior Road Race held over 70 miles in Powys, Wales, out of a 100+ field.  Great result!

Robin Osborne (Membership Secretary) bagged a 2nd in the Masters 60+ series at Milton Keynes on Saturday 1st April after a hard 1 hour 20 mins of intervals (this was also a top 10 in 50+ category as the two races were run together).  The old boy isn’t slowing down!

The women’s race season has kicked off with the London Women's Racing league where Jenny Crouch and Lucy Francis have competed with Jenny coming in 3rd in her category. Lillian Choy has been finding out just how painful Hog Hill can be in her first crit race there and is close to her 3rd cat licence after picking up points in the Imperial Winter Series at Hillingdon.

Former Race Team members Matt Clarke (Canyon UK) and Barney Purbrook and Tom Hargreaves (both Nuun-Sigma Sport London RT) have been racking up the points at Elite level.  Tom got 3 wins and a string of places in the Imperial Winter Series at Hillingdon and has been getting some track time in in the Full Gas Track Series.  He has already racked up about 100 points which sees him sitting in 15th place in the National Rankings.  Barney got a win in the Full Gas Winter Series and Matt has signed with Canyon UK for 2017 after the Pedal Heaven Academy closed.
