LONGCROSS RACES

Evolving from the early-season beginners' races which the club hosted at the Hillingdon race circuit, London Dynamo now runs two days of Surrey League racing for fourth, third, and second category men and women over two weekends in the spring. Previously held at the Longcross MOD course in Surrey these races have proved to be one of the most popular fixtures in the Surrey League. In 2017 the races were held on the Staple Hill Race Circuit.

RICHMOND PARK TIME TRIALS

It’s the best place to ride a bike in London - and we are the only club that has permission to run time trials there. Held in June or July, riders on the 10.4-mile course set off opposite the car park by Robin Hood Gate, head anti-clockwise to the roundabout by Kingston Gate and turn back to the start again before finishing near Pen Ponds car park. The road bike category is the most popular and both days sell out every year - so keep an eye out for entries opening!

SUMMER ROAD RACE

Our 75-mile National B flagship event, currently held every July on the Milland Hill course in West Sussex, is contested by some of the best trade teams and club cyclists in the south east. It’s also one of the few E/1/2/3 events where you’ll see the passenger on a motorbike showing the time gaps on a chalkboard, Tour de France-style.

CLUB COMPETITIONS

The end of the season sees dozens of Dynamos competing at our members-only Club Champs and Hill Climb Championships. The club champs are held at a closed circuit and trophies are awarded for the winners of the men, women and junior categories. Our hill climb takes place at  a different hill each year and categories are based on weight – Hummingbirds (65kg or under) Lean Mean Crazy Machines (65kg-75kg) Who Ate All The Pies? (75kg-85kg) and Clydesdales (85kg and over).

MARSHALLING ASSISTANCE

In addition to our events listed above, the club also helps out marshalling races hosted by other clubs at Hillingdon and Crystal Palace as well as Surrey League and British Cycling races.
