Chartwell Gravel Loop

The Chartwell Gravel Loop cycling route takes us a largely off-road route from Hampton Court Palace heading south-east out of Surrey and into Kent where it descends off the north ridge of the Downs and winds its way offroad to Churchill’s family home of Chartwell. It then heads through woods of Toys Hill before the return leg back to Surrey.

Starting point: Coppernose Café, Hampton Court.

Suggested café: Landmare Café, Chartwell (56km).

The Milk Churn Loop

The Milk Churn Loop cycling route explores the area between Godalming and the West Sussex border. Heading south out of Cobham the route heads up to Shere and the wooded areas beyond, before dropping down through Ewhurst and to Rudgwick near the border. The loop then swings round to the west skirting Godalming and Guildford before returning north.

The North Kent Woods & Downs cycling route heads out into the Dickens country of the North Kent Woods & Downs National Nature Reserve. The route involves a fair amount of climbing in the first half of the ride culminating in Vigo Hill just before the café stop in the woods of Trosley Country Park.

Classic Surrey Hills – Long

The Classic Surrey Hills (Long Version) cycling route is the other classic London Dynamo ride in the area. This one tackles five notable climbs. After the Staple Lane climb the route descends into Shere before climbing again up Peaslake Lane, and then Leith Hill.  A fourth significant climb up to Ranmore Common is followed by the usual descent and Box Hill climb.
