The 2025 edition of the May Flyer sportive rolled out under cool, partly overcast skies, with the promise of sunshine waiting at the finish line. Perfect conditions for a long day in the saddle.

A cheerful pack of over 20 Dynamos assembled at Cobham Village Hall, ready to take on one of two classic Surrey routes: a punchy 100km with 1,220m of climbing or the full 100-mile ‘old school’ challenge with 1,540m of ascent.
Al “lunch is for wimps” Johnson powered his way to second place in the 100km category – an impressive result! For the rest of us mere mortals, there was a more relaxed vibe, including a well-earned pit stop featuring live jazz.
Still, seven Dynamos secured Top 10 finishes – a fantastic showing all around.
In the 100-mile division, Duncan Edwards, Ray Wilson, and Tom Evans delivered standout performances, claiming three of the top five spots.
