The Ride Captain’s Challenge

This year, the Ride Captain’s Challenge becomes a shared ride with targeted efforts: a social day out on one route (with just enough suffering baked in to keep things challenging).
The format this year is based around the shortest, but by no means easiest, of the routes in the Challenging section, the Kent Ramp Hunter.
Rather than racing the full route, riders can stay together in groups for most of the ride, with the competition focused on three iconic crux climbs along the way:
Toys Hill
Hogtrough Hill
White Lane
These climbs are where the competition is decided. The winner in each of the three categories – male, female, or masters (over 40, either gender) – is the one with the shortest cumulative time across these crux climbs (the rest of the route is effectively neutralised).
We have each of the following Wahoo prizes for each category winner (Trackr Speed sensor, Trackr Heart Rate monitor, Trackr Radar smart rear light).
The ride will take place on Sunday 6 September (meeting at Gails in Clapham Old Town for an 8.30 am rollout).
To enter the ride and the competition you just need to be a London Dynamo member and:
1. to sign up on this sheet
2. to let the Ride Captain Strava account follow your Strava account so we can track your times on those three crux climbs.
If you cannot make 6 September you can do the ride in your own time so long as you complete it by 6 September (and enter your details in the sheet).
