The Kent Ramp Hunter

The Kent Ramp Hunter is a relatively short but VERY challenging ride that takes on some of the steepest climbs in the area.

The long climb up Downe Road turns nasty at the end (hitting 20%) and sets the tone for the rest of the ride with Toys Hill, Hogtrough Hill, White Lane, and Hesier’s Hill lying in wait. Expect to hit your max heart rate.

Starting point: Gails Bakery, Clapham Old Town.

Suggested café stop: Velobarn, Pilgrim’s Way (59km).

The Panshanger Park Loop cycling route heads up through North London via the Swains Lane climb in Highgate, and this time heads towards Hertford. After the café stop, the route loops around Panshanger Park before the southerly leg heads back to Regents Park via Hampstead Heath.

The Henry VIII gravel loop extends the Chartwell loop. Rather than heading over to Chartwell and Toys Hill, it heads further south to Hever Castle (home of the Boleyns hence the route name), Chiddingstone castle & village before a steep climb up Yorks Hill and the return leg to Surrey.
