On the route

The Forest of Dean Classic started and finished at the Monmouth Show grounds on the edge of Monmouth. The organisers described the long route as a traditional hilly course with 20 counted climbs. Symonds Yat, a steep climb with a gradient the organisers put at 25%, came near the finish on both.

The route measures 99.7km with 1,697m of climbing, which gives it a Terrain label of Challenging (Climbing, Steep Ramps). Its notable climbs are listed below.

This page is for riding the route outside the sportive, on your own or with friends. There are no organised feed stops, so plan your food and water for the day.

Event names and logos belong to their owners and are shown for identification only. London Dynamo is not affiliated with these events.
