About this route

This route was designed by the organisers of the New Forest Tour, run by UK Cycling Events, not by London Dynamo.

Sportive routes change from year to year, and this page uses the distances and climbing published by the organisers. Event details are on the UK Cycling Events site.

On the route

The New Forest Tour starts at the Gang Warily recreation ground, near Southampton. The middle route is 119km with 832m, and the short route is 75km with 496m. A 17km Rook ride with 79m of climbing is also offered.

All four routes head south to the coast at Lepe and then ride the wide, sweeping roads of the New Forest National Park, which are often lined with roaming livestock.

The route measures 161.7km with 1,146m of climbing, which gives it a Terrain label of Hilly. Its notable climbs are listed below.

This page is for riding the route outside the sportive, on your own or with friends. There are no organised feed stops, so plan your food and water for the day.

Event names and logos belong to their owners and are shown for identification only. London Dynamo is not affiliated with these events.
