About this route

This route was designed by the organisers of the Box Hill Original, UK Cycling Events, not by London Dynamo.

Sportive routes change from year to year, and this page follows the route file we hold. The Box Hill Original ran in the autumn as part of the Cycling Weekly sportive series and is no longer run.

On the route

This is the Cycling Weekly version of the Box Hill Original Standard route. Our other Box Hill Original Standard page follows the 2019 route from Cranleigh, so the two rides differ. This one starts near Box Hill itself, takes in the Box Hill zigzags within the first few kilometres and reaches Ranmore Common at about 17km. White Downs comes late in the day, at about 95km.

The route measures 104.4km with 1,537m of climbing, which gives it a Terrain label of Challenging. Its notable climbs are listed below.

This page is for riding the route outside the sportive, on your own or with friends. There are no organised feed stops, so plan your food and water for the day.

Event names and logos belong to their owners and are shown for identification only. London Dynamo is not affiliated with these events.
