Thames Valley

Windsor Alternative Loop

A Thames Valley cycling route through Windsor Great Park

Key Route Details:

  • Distance: 78km
  • Elevation Gain: 442m
  • Start/Finish: The Coppernose Café, Hampton Court, London
  • Highlights: Windsor Great Park
  • Terrain: Mostly flat

The Windsor Alternative Loop cycling route differs from the Classic Loop in that it does not come back so directly. Rather than shadowing the river by Staines, this route turns up Crimp Hill and Callow Hill for a lumpier and more scenic return journey. It rejoins the usual route at Chertsey.

Suggested café: The Cinnamon Café, Windsor Royal Station (44km).
