The Classic Surrey Hills (Long Version) cycling route is the other classic London Dynamo ride in the area. 

This one tackles five notable climbs. After the Staple Lane climb the route descends into Shere before climbing again up Peaslake Lane, and then Leith Hill.  A fourth significant climb up to Ranmore Common is followed by the usual descent and Box Hill climb.

This gravel route broadly mirrors the Frensham Pond Loop route in the Surrey Hills section but this time favours off-road tracks, exploring more of the heathland and Frensham Common itself in the south-western corner of Surrey.

This gravel route takes us a largely off-road route from Hampton Court Palace heading south-east out of Surrey and into Kent where it descends off the north ridge of the Downs and winds its way offroad to Churchill’s family home of Chartwell. It then heads through woods of Toys Hill before the return leg back to Surrey.

This long but relatively flat one-way cycling route leaves London via the City, skirting the top of East London and heading straight through Epping Forest and the wider northern Essex countryside, before ultimately reaching the ‘Constable Country’ of Dedham Vale National Landscape and the Stour Estuary at the Suffolk border.

Redhill Aerodrome Circuit

The Redhill Aerodrome Circuit cycling route heads south from Hampton Court Bridge, up over Box Hill before heading further south with a loop south of Reigate. There is an opportunity to stop at Redhill Aerodrome’s café to watch light aircraft take off and land. The route then heads north towards Kingston.

Lee Valley & Epping Forest Gravel

This gravel route heads up past the lakes and marshes of the Lee Valley before looping back down through Epping Forest. The route up the valley passes the Walthamstow Wetlands, Waltham Abbey, Lee Valley Country Park and the River Lee Navigation canal. The return leg heads first out into open farmland before heading right through the heart of Epping Forest before back into London.
