About this route

This route was designed by the organisers of the Devil’s Punch, Wiggle and UK Cycling Events, not by London Dynamo.

Sportive routes change from year to year, and this page follows the 2013 Epic route. The Devil’s Punch was an end-of-season sportive in the Wiggle Super Series. In other years it started in Hampshire and looped around the Devil’s Punch Bowl. It is no longer run.

On the route

In 2013 the Devil’s Punch started from Godalming College, just outside Godalming. The first 50km or so roll gently, then the route heads up through Seale towards the Hog’s Back, with a short, steep climb on Jobson’s Lane and a climb into Hambledon before the final ascent of Tansley Lane back to the start.

The route measures 113.9km with 1,438m of climbing, which gives it a Terrain label of Hilly. Its notable climbs are listed below.

This page is for riding the route outside the sportive, on your own or with friends. There are no organised feed stops, so plan your food and water for the day.

Event names and logos belong to their owners and are shown for identification only. London Dynamo is not affiliated with these events.
