About this route

This route was designed by the organisers of the Etape du Dales, run by Rainbow Adventure Events, not by London Dynamo.

Sportive routes change from year to year, and this page uses the distances and climbing published by the organisers. Event details are on the Etape du Dales site.

On the route

The Etape du Dales is run in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and supports the Rayner Foundation charity. The organisers advise riders to bring low gears.

The 120km Mini Etape is a shorter option, and the Dales GRVL route is mostly on good gravel tracks.

The route measures 166.6km with 3,753m of climbing, which gives it a Terrain label of Challenging. Its notable climbs are listed below.

This page is for riding the route outside the sportive, on your own or with friends. There are no organised feed stops, so plan your food and water for the day.

Event names and logos belong to their owners and are shown for identification only. London Dynamo is not affiliated with these events.
