About this route

This route was designed by the organisers of the Struggle NYM, run by Struggle Events, not by London Dynamo.

Sportive routes change from year to year, and this page uses the distances and climbing published by the organisers. Event details are on the Struggle Events site.

On the route

Struggle NYM starts at the Sutton Bank National Park Centre near Thirsk and rides in the North York Moors. The Ultra route is 250km with ten climbs, the Classic is 189km and the Short route is 130km.

Rosedale Chimney and Caper Hill (known as the Glaisdale Horror) are on the route, and the Classic adds Blakey Bank and Danby Beacon. The organisers have not published a total for the climbing.

This page is for riding the route outside the sportive, on your own or with friends. There are no organised feed stops, so plan your food and water for the day.

Event names and logos belong to their owners and are shown for identification only. London Dynamo is not affiliated with these events.
