A scenic Kent cycling route down to Chiddingstone

  • Highlights: Clark’s Lane descent, Brasted Chart, the village of Chiddingtone, Ide Hill climb
  • Terrain: Hills

The Bough Beech Loop cycling route crosses two ridges of the Downs, first over Biggin Hill via the Beddlestead and then the Brasted Chart climb over Toys Hill before heading to Chiddingstone. The return return passes through Bough Beech reservoir and up Ide Hill to the stunning views at the top.

Suggested Café: Tulip Café, Chiddingstone (49 km).

The return leg heads first out into open farmland before heading right through the heart of Epping Forest before back into London.
