The Classic Surrey Hills (shorter version) cycling route tackles three of the local hills.  Firstly, the route tackles Staple Lane which rises up to the Shere Woodlands before a steep descent down Combe Lane, followed by a hard right and second sharp climb up Crock North through Effingham Forest to Ranmore Common. The subsequent descent down through Ashcombe Wood is followed by the iconic Box Hill climb. This in turn is followed by a long descent and the return leg to East Molesey.

The Rusper Circuit

The Rusper Circuit climbs Mill Way after Leatherhead before a long flat section along Rusper Road.

At the village of Rusper, the route turns left round to the left and back to Kingston via Headley Lane to the north of Box Hill. The route finishes at the Local Hero café in Kingston.

Starting point: The Coppernose, Hampton Court.

Suggested café: Tanhouse Café, Tanhouse Farm (37km).

The Chartwell Loop cycling route heads over the north ridge of the Downs and, once through Westerham and up Hosey Hill, the route follows a forested loop around Chartwell and Toys Hill. Brasted Hill adds some further spice on the return leg back to London.
