The Redhill Aerodrome Circuit cycling route heads south into the Surrey Hills from Hampton Court Bridge, up over Box Hill before heading further south with a loop south of Reigate. There is an opportunity to stop at Redhill Aerodrome’s café to watch light aircraft take off and land. The route then heads north towards Kingston.

Shoreham Loop

The Shoreham Loop cycling route initially follows the line of the Chartwell Loop but then heads further south in a loop around Hever, up through Chiddingstone, before the long climb up Hubbards Hill. Skirting around Sevenoaks, the route goes through the pretty village of Shoreham before the wooded climb up Chelfield Lane (not one to do after heavy rain) before the leg back to London.

Lee Valley & Epping Forest Gravel

This gravel route heads up past the lakes and marshes of the Lee Valley before looping back down through Epping Forest. The route up the valley passes the Walthamstow Wetlands, Waltham Abbey, Lee Valley Country Park and the River Lee Navigation canal. The return leg heads first out into open farmland before heading right through the heart of Epping Forest before back into London.

The Kentish Kraken winds its way across two ridges of the Downs (crossing the southern ridge four times!). Climbs include Crockham Hill, Brasted Chart (the steadier but longer north side of Toys Hill), and Ide Hill.

Mini Surrey Hills

This relatively short cycling route is an introduction to the Surrey Hills and Box Hill in particular. The route climbs up to Ranmore Common, down the other side before the zig zag climb up to Box Hill. The route returns back to the start via Epsom.
