The cycle routes heading west away from Kingston and looping around Windsor are some of our most popular rides. The flat terrain either side of the Thames allows for some fast riding.
The Chertsey Loop is a relatively short, flat and free-flowing loop on fast roads and is designed for training stamina.
Starting point: The Coppernose, Hampton Court.
The Fairoaks Airport Loop goes south of Chertsey out to the airfield at Fairoaks before looping back round for the same fast return route. There is an optional café stop for small groups at the Hangar Café at the airport.
Starting point: The Coppernose, Hampton Court.
The Fast Windsor Loop is another route designed for a fast flat ride that uses the faster roads both into Windsor and back.
Starting point: The Coppernose, Hampton Court.
Optional cafe stop: Cinnamon Café, Windsor Station.
A shorter alternative the the Windsor rides with a picturesque loop around Virginia Water, with a café stop overlooking the water.
Starting point: The Coppernose, Hampton Court.
Suggested café stop: Virginia Water Café (42 km).
The Classic Windsor Loop is a longstanding favourite of London Dynamo riders. The route out to Windsor is a rolling one, starting just south of the river before crossing at Walton-on-Thames.
After Chertsey the route heads into some leafy lanes, before bearing north through Windsor Great Park and on into central Windsor.
The route back is much more direct and with the wind probably at your back offers the chance for some fast sustained riding.
Starting point: The Coppernose, Hampton Court.
Suggested café: The Cinnamon Café, Windsor Royal Station (44km).
The Windsor Alternative Loop differs from the Classic Loop in that it does not come back so directly. Rather than shadowing the river by Staines, this route turns up Crimp Hill and Callow Hill for a lumpier and more scenic return journey. It rejoins the usual route at Chertsey.
Starting point: The Coppernose, Hampton Court.
Suggested café: The Cinnamon Café, Windsor Royal Station (44km).
