The London area has lots of gravel routes for those cyclists who who like their bikes dirty and their tyres fat.
The Dirty Belgie is a clockwise circuit starting in Richmond Park that crosses Wimbledon Common, before heading uphill to the woods between Chessington and Oxshott.
Starting point: Roehampton Café, Richmond Park.
The Box Hill Loop features a moderate long anti-clockwise climb up through the woods to Box Hill.

The Reigate Hill Loop follows a clockwise circuit to Reigate Hill and then south of Box Hill before returning to London.

The Guildford Loop is flat for the first 35 km before climbing up past Chantry Wood to the top of St. Martha’s Hill.

The Surrey Trails & Hills route heads down to the Box Hill area for a loop before continuing on to Ranmore Common, White Downs and Effingham Forest.

This Effingham Forest circuit explores the western end of the Surrey Hills with a steep section up to Netley Heath and Effingham Forest.
